Product Description
Product overview
Lead salt stabilizers are mainly composed of lead compounds (such as lead trisulfate and lead stearate), which were once the leading products in the PVC industry. Due to environmental issues, they have gradually been replaced, but still have cost advantages in certain fields.
Core features
High thermal stability:
- Excellent long-term thermal stability (still effective above 200 oC), suitable for high-temperature processing (such as cable materials).
- Excellent weather resistance, outdoor products have a lifespan of over 20 years.
Toxicity issue:
- Contains heavy metal lead, does not comply with environmental regulations such as RoHS, and is prohibited from being used in food/children's related products.
- Special treatment is required after disposal, which poses environmental risks.
Low cost:
The price is only 50-70% of calcium zinc, suitable for low-end building materials (such as some drainage pipes).
Typical applications
- Cable and wire: insulation layer, sheath (high temperature stability requirement)
- Non environmentally friendly building materials: low-end pipelines, tile boards (still used in some developing countries)
- Industrial products: Non contact hard PVC parts
