About Processing aid for SPC

The core substrate of SPC flooring is a rigid board composed of a large amount of calcium carbonate (stone powder) and a small amount of PVC resin, compounded under high temperature and pressure. Its low PVC content and extremely high powder filler (calcium powder content can reach 80%) result in extremely poor material flowability, low melt strength, and difficulty in plasticization. The core mission of processing aids is to solve this fundamental contradiction, ensuring the efficient and stable production of SPC substrates with high rigidity and dimensional stability.

Function of Processing Aids: This is the most crucial aid. It promotes plasticization by increasing melt viscosity and elasticity, "binding" the loose stone powder-PVC mixture into a uniform, dense melt.

Effects: Improves melt strength, making the material easier to shape during extrusion, preventing board breakage and uneven edges; enhances the density, toughness, and surface smoothness of the board.
