Acrylic Impact Modifier IM-1 Specification
- Usage
- IM-1 is mainly used in rigid PVC products, especially those that need high impact resistance and good weather resistance. Examples include PVC window and door profiles, pipes.
Mix IM-1 with other additives (stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, etc.) in a high-speed mixer. The mixing temperature should be reasonable to ensure even dispersion. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from moisture. After opening, keep the bag sealed and use it within one year. IM-1 has good compatibility with most additives. However, in high-filler formulas, you may increase the dosage slightly to make up for toughness loss.
- Properties
- IM-1 has a special "core-shell" structure. The core is a very soft rubber that can absorb and spread out impact force. The shell has good compatibility with PVC and can spread evenly in the PVC. This structure helps improve toughness without damaging the original hardness of PVC.
After using IM-1, the impact resistance of PVC products is clearly improved. Even in low temperatures, the products are less likely to become brittle or crack. At the same time, it makes processing smoother, gives products a better surface finish, and improves dimensional stability. Also, it will not migrate to the surface, and it will not affect the product's heat resistance or sunlight resistance.

About Acrylic Impact Modifier IM-1
Acrylic Impact Modifier IM-1 is a core-shell impact modifier made for rigid PVC. Unlike ordinary impact modifiers, in the production of rigid PVC, IM-1 can greatly improve the impact toughness and low-temperature crack resistance of the final product. At the same time, it helps the material melt evenly, improves melt flow, and effectively increases surface smoothness and dimensional stability. This modifier works well with common rigid PVC additives such as stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, and pigments. It will not migrate to the surface, nor will it harm the product's original rigidity, heat resistance, or excellent weather resistance. With its reliable performance, it is especially suitable for rigid PVC products that require high impact strength, outdoor aging resistance, and processing stability, such as PVC window and door profiles, pipes, outdoor sheets, foam boards and SPC flooring.
