About High density OPE wax for foam board
High density oxidized polyethylene wax is a specialized lubricant processing aid suitable for PVC skin foaming and free foaming boards. It is modified by oxidation of high-density polyethylene raw materials, and its molecules have polar functional groups. It has dual properties of internal lubrication and high-temperature external lubrication, perfectly matching the production system of high calcium powder filling and high-speed extrusion molding of foam boards. Unlike ordinary low-density oxidized wax, it has a higher melting point and stronger melt stability.
In the production process of foam board, this wax can quickly promote the uniform plasticization of PVC resin, effectively improve the strength and elasticity of the melt, firmly wrap the internal gas during the foaming stage, avoid common defects such as cell tearing, collapse, and uneven hole size, make the foam holes of the board fine and regular, the board surface smooth and flat, and stably control the foam density of the board. For the large proportion of calcium carbonate fillers in the formula, high-density oxidized wax can fully encapsulate inorganic powders, disperse calcium powder agglomerated particles, eliminate white spots, rough surfaces, and delamination problems on the board surface, and support increasing the filler filling amount while ensuring the appearance and mechanical properties of the board, effectively reducing production costs.
At the same time, it can balance the entire lubrication system, reduce internal friction of materials and equipment extrusion torque in the early stage of processing, and migrate to the mold head and screw metal contact surface to form a lubrication isolation layer in the later stage of production, which has a long-term demolding and anti sticking effect. Long term continuous production is not easy to produce paste and black spots, reducing the frequency of downtime and mold cleaning. When used in conjunction with CPE, stabilizers, foaming agents and other additives, it can optimize the flowability of the board, improve the surface glossiness of the board, reduce the warping and deformation of the finished product, and is widely used in various extruded foam products such as advertising foam boards, cabinet PVC skinning boards, wood plastic foam decorative boards, etc.
